 Frequently asked questions

Got some questions? I've put together a few FAQs based on questions that clients typically ask me when we first start working together.

But please do get in touch if you have any other queries or questions.

What sort of projects do you work on?

Over the past 15 years, I've worked on a vast array of copywriting and social media projects. I've worked with sole traders, small businesses and multinational companies – and I'm very adaptable and responsive to individual business needs.

Which sectors do you work in?

My clients come from many different walks of life and various sectors, such as:

  • science and technology
  • property and building services
  • engineering
  • retail
  • insurance
  • financial services
  • higher education
  • business consultancy
  • healthcare
  • charity/not-for-profit

I enjoy working with clients in different sectors. For me, the important thing is to quickly understand my client's business and target audience. I can then tailor my copywriting and social media approach to fit your needs perfectly.

Every business has a unique personality. So, Whether it's a formal corporate style or a cheeky vibe, I'll find the right tone.

How does your pricing work?

Generally, I quote per project or, for long-term projects, I tend to charge by the hour. I never charge per word (and I would never advise hiring a copywriter who does!)

I always stick to my prices (unless the brief changes substantially). No stress, no fuss – just a fair and honest approach.

How does a typical project work?

It's my job to take the stress out of marketing so that you can focus on running your business. So, I'll keep things as straightforward and simple as possible.

We can discuss the brief on Zoom/Teams/Skype or by phone – whichever is easier for you. The next stage is to complete my research and any interviews before the writing starts. You'll have the chance to review the draft and make any tweaks as needed. I really want to meet and exceed your expectations at each and every stage.

Where does your work typically come from?

I'm really lucky that much of my work comes from client referrals and repeat business. But, I'm always keen to work with new clients and so please do get in touch for a chat about your project.
